The Life and Times of William Shakespeare

I had the opportunity to visit William Shakespeare’s hometown today…and what an amazing experience it was! To be in and around the same buildings and gardens that Shakespeare himself inhabited was both exciting and surreal. To see things like the “Birth room Window”; a window in which aspiring artists and original visitor’s to Shakespeare’s original home etched their names into the window glass; created a sense of Shakespeare as a human being, and less the literary giant we know today. I also had the opportunity to visit Mary Arden’s House and Gardens, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage which helped detail Shakespeare’s life as a son and a husband. I also had the opportunity to visit Shakespeare’s grave in Holy Trinity Church. There were other buildings surrounding the Shakespeare Story to explore, but unfortunately, it would take a solid weekend trip to see and do it all. I would absolutely recommend this amazing place to anyone who has read and loved work by William Shakespeare!
